The Ironton Senior Center is located on the 2nd Floor of the Park Ave. Apartment Building at 202 Park Avenue in Downtown Ironton, Ohio. Third & Center operates the program on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 am- 12:30 pm. Ironton area seniors are welcome to join in the fun: social hour from 9:30 - 10:30, engaging activities from 10:30 - 11:30, and lunch service at 11:30 am. We have partnered with Frankly Stellar Events & Catering to provide delicious and nutritious meals for senior center participants. Meals are $4 and can be reserved by contacting on of our friendly program coordinators. We hope to see you at the Senior Center!

Digital Literacy 101
Join us at the Ironton Senior Center for a series of digital literacy classes for seniors. The first session, Digital Literacy 101, will focus on crucial topics such as smartphone basics, accessibility, and safety.
The classes are designed to help seniors navigate the world of digital literacy and feel more confident using technology. As an added bonus, lunch will be provided for all attendees.
This program is made possible by a partnership between Third & Center, OSU Extension- Lawrence County, and the Lawrence County Commissioners with grant funding from the Ohio Department of Aging. Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to enhance your digital skills and stay safe online.

The Ironton senior center is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The center is located on the second floor of the Park Ave., Apartments at 202 Park Ave. in downtown Ironton.

Summer Solstice Music & Arts Festival
Get ready for the ultimate summer kickoff at the Summer Solstice Music and Arts Festival! This day-long celebration of all things local is back for its third year and promises to be an epic event you won't want to miss.
The festivities begin with youth fishing instruction in the morning, followed by live local music, a market featuring local art and makers, interactive youth arts activities, and delicious local food and beverages. The day will also include a talent show with cash prizes up for grabs, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Ohio River.
Join us at the Ironton Riverfront on June 8, 2024, for a day of fun, music, art, and community spirit. Applications for vendors, artists, food trucks, and sponsorship opportunities are available at third¢er.com/events. Adult tickets are $5 at the gate, with children, students, and seniors 60+ admitted for free.

First Cast Youth Fishing Seminar
Join us for the Second Annual First Cast Youth Fishing Seminar, the official kick-off to the Summer Solstice Music & Arts Festival, on June 8, 2024, from 9 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ironton Riverfront. This all-inclusive event is geared towards getting children in the community hooked on fishing and teaching the importance of aquatic stewardship.
No fishing experience is necessary. There will be plenty of equipment available, including rods, reels, tackle, and bait. Feel free to bring your gear if you have it.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times – safety first!
Participants over 16 will need a fishing license.
This free community event is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Union Sportsman Alliance. Make plans to stay after the fishing event to enjoy live local music, artists, artisans, food trucks, and interactive art activities beginning at noon. It’s going to be a great day on the beautiful Ironton Riverfront!

Crosswalk Repainting Event
Join Third & Center and our community partner, Ohio State University Extension- Lawrence County, for the 4th Annual Crosswalk Painting Event in Downtown Ironton!
Kids and the community are invited to participate in a unique community art project where kids can leave their mark on the crosswalks at the intersection of Third Street and Center Street. OSU Extension will be onsite with interactive and informative activities on crosswalk safety and distracted driving.
Experience a day of community fun with popsicles, bubbles, and art. Let's come together to use art as a tool to inspire community impact. Join us on May 19, 2024, from 1-3 pm for a day filled with creativity and connection!

Summer Solstice Music and Arts Festival 2023
Save the Date for our 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Music and Arts Festival at the beautiful Ironton Riverfront Park. This event focuses on highlighting local talent and art forms of all kinds. Crosswalk Painting
Join us for our Crosswalk Painting Event. The event will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 1pm-3pm at the intersection of Third St and Center St in Ironton, OH.
Paint and other necessary materials will be provided by Third and Center, making sure the event is accessible to everyone. No painting experience is necessary – all are welcome!
The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty.

Pickleball Tournament
Hey PICKLERS, the Ironton City Recreation Department in partnership with Third and Center is thrilled to host the 1st Annual Memorial Day Weekend Pickleball Tournament! The event will be held at the the city’s new Pickleball courts at Etna Street Park in Ironton, Ohio on May 28, 2022.
This event is mixed doubles, pool play with a single elimination after seeding. Registration is $60 per team, and all teams must complete registration prior to the event. Team check in begins at 8:30 a.m. on day of event. Each registered team member will receive a commemorative t-shirt and door prize from some amazing local business…. we promise that no one will leave pickled.
Our friends from Fat Boy Q will be onsite serving up some delicious lunch, so make plans to come spend the day with us whether you plan on playing or just cheering on your favorite team. OPA!!!!
Crosswalk Handprints
Your handprint could be in a crosswalk in downtown Ironton! FREE EVENT
As we repaint the crosswalks we are including youth handprints. Gloves and paint provided.
